What is the advantage of valve gearbox comparing with other actuators

In the realm of valve automation, valves are typically operated using one of three modes: pneumatic, electric, or manual. All of the JAT series pneumatic actuator and HXY series scotch yoke in our product range are pneumatically operated. The QT series, JMO series, and JM series are all electric-operated for quarter-turn valves. The JMG series valve gearbox is manual-operated.

The JMG series valve transmission offers the following advantages in comparison to other two-operated methods:

1. The JMG series valve gearbox is equipped with an IP68 weatherproof protection level, which enables it to be utilised in specific series environments. For the impermeable condition, it is subjected to a 20Kpa pressure and 1 metre of water for a duration of 40 minutes. To prevent dust, the dust type is talc powder, and the dust dosage is 2kg/m³. The pumping speed is 40-60 times the shell volume per hour, and the test is conducted for 2 hours. The final inspection sample has no abnormalities in appearance, and there are no dust or water stains inside the disassembly. Therefore, our JMG series valve gearbox is more weatherproof than other actuators.

2. The JMG series valve gearbox is manually actuated and is mounted with a handwheel. The rotation is relatively smooth as a result of the handwheel. The JMG series valve gearbox requires only labour to operate, whereas pneumatic and electric actuators require air pressure and power to open or close. Consequently, it contributes to the reduction of energy costs. The JMG series valve gearbox is frequently employed in situations where the valve open/close circumstance does not require constant adjustment. Consequently, it is a one-step solution. In comparison to other actuators, the JMG series valve transmission is significantly more energy-efficient.
